It seems no matter where I have lived in the country, strange things happen around me. A few days ago, there was a traffic stop right here close to our wheat field. The suspect was cuffed but not stuffed. It was so strange. What was even crazier, the deputy that was on duty that night, left his car, the contraband, AND the felon lying in plain view of this Jane Doe Public. Needless to say, I was freaked out. I wanted to call the law, but the law was already here. What do you do? I did what I always do… and asked Ben what he thought was going on.
He just kinda giggled and said, “Looks like a felony traffic stop to me…”
How can he laugh at a time like this?
But, the felon is still lying here in handcuffs. Isn’t that against the law he’s supposed to uphold? Shouldn’t we do something?
“Nay. Let’s just leave ‘em there. He’ll be back for him.”
Against my better judgement…we left everything the way the deputy had, and just took some evidence photos. (Just like on CSI, it was really cool.)
The squad car.

I’m sure at the academy, they teach deputies to secure their car before abandoning don’t they?
Here’s the felon.

I’ve seen him around, this isn’t his first time in handcuffs. Some fools never learn. What a dirt bag.
The contraband.

Stolen weapons.
The deputy.

Did I say deputy? I meant our aspiring deputy, Barney, who sleeps with a pistol under his pillow and a bullet in his pocket. God bless him.
What’s a mother to do?
Send him back to the academy when he wakes up, I guess.
Simply,
Sis
