The calendar says spring.

Upsidedown snowman.

But, I just helped my little felon build this snowman.

Barney with silly snowman.

We got four to six inches of snow…and this came in the mail.

Taters, onion, garlic and blueberry bush.

It’s my blueberry bush, tater, onion, and garlic sets that have been MIA.

My gardening loot. Better late than never.

The plan was to plant these on St. Patty’s day. Instead, they showed up for one of the biggest blizzards of the year.

Chives in the snow.

I guess they wanted to play in the snow too, just like my chives.  At least I hope so.

No worries though, my good buddies over at the Farmers Almanac say, another good time for planting root veggies is right around the corner.

That’s why I love Kansas.

You just never know.

It’s a beautiful moron.

Just like me.

Oxymoron, that is.

Simply,

Sis

Love the snowman! Did the snowman get attacked later in the day? Coop and I went by your place around 6:ish and we thought we saw an attacker (he might already be a felon) in your yard;0) My kitchen counter is covered with cut up potatoes….when does the farmers almanac say the next best time to plant is?

If you go to this link… http://www.farmersalmanac.com/...../gardening . You will see that we should probably wait until April 12-14 th, but 10th or 11th would be okay too. To add more concern…all the old timers I’ve been around say…if you don’t have them in the ground by Good Friday, you may as well forget it. :( What’s a girl to do?
