…often go awry.”

Despite making the perfect plan for my garden, ordering my seeds early, and checking the mailbox every five minutes, my tater and onion sets aren’t in the ground yet. Gloom, despair…

St. Patty’s Day has come and gone and I don’t even have the loot. Agony, defeat…

The Farmer’s Alamanac said the moon is right.

Still nothing.

I can’t plant in 60 mph winds anyway.  Sigh.

I couldn’t water my taters, if I had them anyway.

It’s a dark day.

Oh my gosh! Did that happen on Monday? Mom said there were trucks overturning on I-70 due to the straight-line winds. Yikes! We had a lot of wind, too, but no damage.
I’m glad no one was standing in the path of all of that metal when it landed!!

Oh, and don’t take the USPS officer hostage, please. I think it’s probably a federal offense and it would be a huge bummer for you to go to prison over onion and taters.

Yes, she was windy– 13 trucks overturned on I-70–welcome to Kansas.

I would never take the postman hostage. I might bake them some cookies, though to bribe them a little. No worries, there. Besides, seed company said they shipped the rest of my loot, better late than never. I’ll get them in the ground in time for the snow this weekend. Like I said, welcome to Kansas.
