		<description>What a question. He loved to laugh. Tell stories. Laugh more....and tell more stories. He loved to study people and critters and try to figure out what they would do before they did it. 

So yes, I think he did laugh at himself, because most of his stories involved some crazy thing/scheme he did that went arye.
