The undiluted stuff will kill most germs, bacteria, molds, and mildew. Don't use it on marble, like someone else mentioned. Also, it can damage caulking around your sink or bathtub if you over-use it. A cup in the washing machine will soften clothes, remove odors, and keep your colors bright. Vinegar is a great cleaner! As for smell in the house from it - gee, open a window!! My place NEVER smells of vinegar even if I pour it straight on a puppy pee spot - it also cleans out the inside of the refrig if your into doing that, just use warm water and some vinegar....
